I purchased this new from the Gibson Garage to produce a review + demo video on this .com exclusive model that at the time of posting, is currently sold out pending restock.

It will show signs of use in the form of polishing swirls, picking scratches and fingerprints from my processes.

 

Things I noted about this example:

• could use a set up to dial action and intonation in better
• fret ends are a bit sharp
• excessive picking scratches on the pickguard
• due to the metal cover (I believe) the pickup squeals excessively under high gain, and not in a good way – best to play it at 75% on the volume control to avoid this
• I flipped the truss rod cover due to cosmetic preference – it is still the original one if you decide to flip it back.
• There is a dent in the body that is covered by the bottom strap button (removed for shipment)
• The finish is much darker along the bottom edge of the guitar
