This collectible guitar comes in its original “lifton” style 80s Gibson case. The latches are present and functioning but the handle has been replaced (as is common with these.) The exterior is in exceptionally good shape for its age. Inside the compartment sleeps a piece of original case candy.
The Guitar! 60s Neck | 9lbs 11oz
I purchased this from its original owner who used this very sparingly and lovingly throughout his time owning it. It is in very clean shape, but still shows some wear. Perfect for a collection or for the careful player. It is all original.
Headstock – Two line scuff marks on either side of the Gibson logo. Light scuffing around edges. Lacquer is nice and clear – hardly aged at all.
Fretboard – frets show some light wear but nothing that needs addressed. Ebony board is in great shape.
Top – Excellent shape. Some light pin sized dings here and there mainly by picking area and down by knobs. Roughed up patch by the cutaway binding.
Back of headstock – small ding in the “volute” area on treble side
Back of neck – very clean. I see a few pin-sized dings towards the middle. Fretboard binding has typical cracking marks from the frets sprouting. Weird blob in finish on treble side at base of the heel.
Back of body – small patch of buckle worming near edge as well as a few minor impressions. Ding by bottom stap button. Overall – very clean looking
